Who this is for

All The Details....

Our Drop In Day Camp Program is recommended for any child aged 5-10 who is looking to build healthy social connections, opportunities to have fun, and experiences that support team/community building.

This day camp is a perfect place for your children to spend the day if your child has been looking for opportunities to connect with other children in nature and/or healthy tools to foster their overall emotional and mental well being.

With our extensive experience in alternative methods and modalities, we are creating a space where children feel safe to explore themselves in a free manner.

The needs of every participant is taken into consideration when structuring the program on a week to week basis to help them feel supported, loved and important.

What they will learn

Camp Activities

What The Day Will Look Like...

10:00 - 10:30: Drop Off
We ask that participants are dropped off between the given timeframe so that we are able to structure our day in a fashion that meets everyone’s needs.
10:30 - 11:00: Community Circle
We will start our days with a Community Circle so that all members have a safe space to converse and connect first thing.

A time where the team can see each other and will have the opportunity to share aspects of their lives; everyone gets time to be heard. We will also break down the day so that the group knows what to expect and can ask any questions that they have.
11:00 - 12:30: Activity One
During this time campers will be encouraged to participate in a team building activity to foster effective communication, collaboration and critical thinking skills.
12:30 - 1:30: Lunch
Learners will be encouraged to eat their lunch as a group so that we can foster connection and community. Lunch will be followed with a stillness period where Chelsey will guide the group in a meditation and/or yoga stretch.

Participants are asked to bring enough food and water so that they are able to feel energized throughout the day. We ask that lunches are litter free, nut free, healthy and have a low sugar content.
1:30 - 2:30: Activity Two
This segment of time will be used to have fun, play freely and express their creativity around the house property.

There will also be an opportunity to grab some water and have a snack at this time.
2:30 - 3:00: Pick Up
We ask that participants are picked up between the given timeframe so that we are able to structure the rest of our day in a fashion that meets our family’s needs.

A safe Environment for Children to Connect

Bringing Community to our little ones….

Community isn’t just for adults. We strive to create a space for all members of your family!

We know from experience how vital it is for children to have the chance to connect with others and have the opportunity to learn, grow and develop social skills.

These connection opportunities are something we see lacking for our own children and something we want to nurture more in not only them but in other children as well.

In the past year we have made some significant changes to our lives, between selling our house in Ontario, leaving our careers (10+ years), deciding to unschool our daughters, learning how to adapt to a new environment, simplifying, and fully trusting and embracing in our worth and the vision we are manifesting.

These day camps are a place to not only allow your children to explore and learn but also a place for them to start fostering a sense of belonging, creating friendships and new confidence.

There will be 1 staff for every 5 campers. However, while Chelsey will be instructing the campers, Finn will be an extra set of eyes throughout the activities.

If parents are not able to pick up their children during the pick up time we ask that you find other arrangements and text us throughout the day with your plan.

Finn and Chelsey are firm believers that all behaviour is communication and are confident in the wisdom we have to manage any way a child expresses themselves.

We believe in giving children space to feel, and time to process their emotions, while making them aware that we are there when they are ready and willing for guidance.

Through modelling and effective communication we allow children to have a voice in their healing process and foster their ability to reflect on their experience so they develop wisdom and awareness for their next opportunity of growth and evolution.

Yes! The camp portion of the day will consist of a variety of activities (that may vary based on mood and/or weather) and will be moved inside if needed.

We will not be asking for any personal information in this regard.

When children are feeling their emotions, we allow them to choose what they need to help them process their experience. We are happy to provide options that they can choose from if they need support in doing so. Space, time, high fives, hugs, water, snacks, and/or a friend’s company are some of our offerings.

Staff & Safety

We will be taking on a max of 5 campers for any of our Day Camps, more drop ins may be accepted on a limited basis.

There will be 1 staff for every 5 campers. However, while Chelsey will be instructing the campers, Finn will be an extra set of eyes throughout the activities.

Chelsey has worked with children for over 12 years as an elementary school teacher for the Hamilton School Board and has a variety of children as private clients to foster their ability in facing their fears and releasing old beliefs that no longer serve them.

Finn has spent the last 15 years acquiring three tickets in the skilled trades. It wasn’t until this current next chapter of his journey that he has been able to tap into his love of the outdoors, revitalising old skills, such as life saving, to create opportunities for his children and the community.

Finn is credentialed in Bronze Cross, Bronze Medallion, Lifeguarding and the Swimming Instructor course for teaching swimming lessons. Finn has his Standard First Aid and CPR.

We want as many attentive eyes on the kids as possible. While one of us is teaching or running an activity the other will be monitoring and acting as a second set of eyes.

No one will be allowed to pick up a child without being on the drop off list or pre-approved by the parent and articulated to us directly by them.

We will not be asking for any personal information in this regard.
